Weather Conditions

Weather is a major contributing factor when it comes to paragliding. PARA-TAXI adheres to SAHPA (South African Hang and Paragliding Association) regulations and only fly from SAHPA approved paragliding sites.

Ideal wind conditions would be a head wind of between 10 - 30 km's per hour on the respective launch site with a maximum acceptable tolerance of 15 degrees off center.

Although the Western Cape has a predominant South-Easterly wind blowing that is not necessarily favourable on most flying sites, there are still around 200 flyable days a year.

Look up the best suited wind directions for local paragliding sites and see if today is a good day to fly.
